MATT AARON KRINSKY DIRECTOR | PRODUCER | WRITER
MATT AARON KRINSKY has worked in the entertainment and event industries for 15 years and during that time has solidified his reputation as a highly skilled professional with a natural talent for directing, producing, and writing. His experience ranges from film and theatre to live events, conferences, charity walks, and industrial awards shows. He is an alumnus of the 2015 Lincoln Center Theatre Directors Lab West and develops, produces, and directs select projects through his indie production company, Mogul Productions. Matt also currently works in Corporate Communications for The Walt Disney Company and is a marathon running coach for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training.
As a director and producer, Matt has helmed two notable short films that had successful film festival runs, with one securing both a domestic and an international distribution deal. His next short film is in post production and is slated to premiere in January 2016. Theatrically, he made his Off-Broadway directing and producing debut in 2014 and since then has gone on to direct a number of world premiere plays and staged readings. Matt is currently working on several scripts to direct as his first feature film and is developing projects for both TV and the web.
Matt rose to become the Director of Program & Events at the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles, and during his eight-year tenure developed and produced numerous programs and events, collaborating with such notable institutions as The Annenberg Space for Photography, Beverly Hilton, Broad Stage, Egyptian Theatre, LACMA, Los Angeles City Hall, Los Angeles Convention Center, Pacific Design Center, and Dwell Magazine.
Matt’s strength as a content creator and non-fiction writer has also allowed him the chance to serve as a consultant to numerous business and non-profit clients that appreciate his communication, social media, and marketing abilities. Clients and collaborators laud Matt for his collaborative nature, unparalleled level of organization, and attention to detail.
Matt obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Film Studies and Art History. He studied directing and producing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, the University of East Anglia in England, and New York Film Academy, and earned a Certificate in Journalism from UCLA. As an actor, he was classically trained at the Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Studio and did further training with Carolyne Barry Entertainment.
